Hope Blooms for Daisy: Help Her Fight Leukemia

Daisy Vazquez Rios is a joyful, loving third grader at Jones Elementary in Bryan ISD who lights up every room she enters. Born with Down syndrome, Daisy has always seen the world through a lens of pure happiness and love. Her electric smile is unforgettable—bright, contagious, and powerful enough to lift the spirits of everyone around her. She is the kind of child who reminds you what joy really looks like.

Today, Daisy is facing the fight of her life: leukemia.

Instead of spending her days laughing with classmates, learning new things, and sharing her endless happiness, Daisy is now enduring hospital visits, treatments, and challenges no child should ever have to face. Yet even in the middle of this battle, Daisy continues to smile. She continues to shine. She continues to be the same happy, beautiful soul who brings light into the lives of others.

Daisy is a true little warrior.

Her family—her mom, dad, and three sisters—are standing beside her every step of the way, pouring all of their love and strength into helping her heal. But the weight of this journey is heavy. Between medical expenses, travel, time away from work, and caring for their daughters, the burden is more than any family should have to carry alone.
