My name is Elysia. I am severely chronically ill, i have schizoaffective disorder, and I am drowning.

My bank account currently has -$283.88, and I have over $20,000 in debt, not including my tremendous medical debt. I receive $662.17 per month in disability income and $211 in EBT.

In November 2025, I graduated from nail school and became a licensed nail technician. In the months since, I have tried really hard to create and build a business called Sonder Alternative Unfortunately, I have yet to serve a single client or earn a single dollar. Ultimately, I have failed.

My journey has never been an easy one. Crippling chronic illness and severe mental health struggles have shaped the way I move through the world. I was committed to a psych ward for the first time in 2013, and as of 2026, I have been committed a total of 27 times, as well as spending several months in residential psychiatric facilities. During the pandemic, I experienced years of homelessness and fell into this extreme financial insecurity.

I need help. I really, really, really need help. I'm 27 years old, and I fear that my life is already over. I don't see a way out of all this. This GoFundMe is my last resort. My last cry for help.
