My name is Jasmine,

I am 36 years old and a single mom of 7.

A friend helped me make this gofundme to try and help me get help so I can get a car for my family as my car’s transmission recently broke down.

I have never done this before, it is my first time as I am very reserved about my personal and medical issues as my insecurities that people will judge me and talk me down, and this is why I come wholeheartedly and I feel the need to explain my situation and to give a brief explanation of why I am seeking for help.

As my kids and I were on our way back from visiting a family member out of town, before getting on I5, my transmission started slipping. I then told my oldest I needed to stop because it didn’t feel right and I wasn’t going to enter the freeway with the car feeling that way.

Thankfully I drive through the back roads before entering the freeway and we were just passing ARCO when I pulled over, and sure enough, once I tried to drive it around to test and see if it would still continue the same; it completely stopped working. I wouldn’t move forward or reverse. My two oldest tried their best to help me push it out of the middle of the street while waiting for the tow truck.

Back in 2014 I was diagnosed with a rare condition, which has affected me physically and mentally. In the physical aspect it has affected my eyes, nose and ears. It also affects my joints when it flares up.

In 2020 I got Covid and I started with what the drs would say it was sinusitis. I would be in and out of the er because i would get really bad sinus pain and headaches. It came to a point where I would have nosebleeds that looked like a faucet. I then noticed my nose changing. To then find out the condition I have damaged my nose cartilage. I have also lost hearing of my left ear.

I almost fell into depression because of it, but then after thinking about it I was thankful and grateful with God it wasn’t my lungs that got affected, as this condition affects the lungs and liver too. Also, my kids gave me strength and a reason to hang on.

I take my oldest to school and i go to appointments every month or two for follow ups and labs. I recently started a stronger IV treatment to control it. Also, my two sets of twins have some specialized appointments they need to be attending as well as my oldest do too. I had to cancel all of them, which it included my hearing test appointment too, because I have no reliable transportation at the moment and all appointments are out of town.

I need a SUV or at least fix mine so I can take all my kids with me to my parents house since they don’t live in the same town and I usually have to pass through their town and I get to drop off my kids while I go to my appointments and take my kids to theirs.

I will be starting school in January also, which is a big step for me; since my insecurities have gotten the best of me, making me think people will just stare at me because of my nose.

This means a lot to me and my kids.

Cuando mis hijos y yo estábamos de regreso de visitar a un miembro de la familia fuera de la ciudad, antes de subir a la I5, mi transmisión comenzó a resbalar. Luego le dije a mi hijo mayor que tenía que parar porque no se sentía bien y que no iba a entrar en la autopista con el coche sintiéndose así.

Afortunadamente, conduzco por las carreteras secundarias antes de entrar en la autopista y estábamos pasando ARCO cuando me detuve, y efectivamente, una vez que intenté conducirlo para probarlo y ver si seguiría igual; dejó de funcionar por completo. No avanzaría ni retrocedería. Mis dos mayores intentaron todo lo posible para ayudarme a sacarlo del medio de la calle mientras esperaba la grúa.

En 2014 me diagnosticaron una condición rara, que me ha afectado física y mentalmente. En el aspecto físico, ha afectado a mis ojos, nariz y oídos. También afecta a mis articulaciones cuando se enciende.

En 2020 contraje Covid y empecé con lo que los médicos dirían que era sinusitis. Estaría dentro y fuera de la sala de urdos porque tendría un dolor y dolores de cabeza muy fuertes. Llegó un punto en el que tenía hemorragias nasales que parecían un grifo. Entonces noté que mi nariz cambia. Para luego averiguar la condición, he dañado el cartílago de mi nariz. También he perdido la audición de mi oído izquierdo.

Casi caigo en depresión por eso, pero luego, después de pensarlo, estaba agradecido y agradecido con Dios de que no fueran mis pulmones los que se vieron afectados, ya que esta condición también afecta a los pulmones y al hígado. Además, mis hijos me dieron fuerza y una razón para aguantar.

Llevo a mis hijos mayores a la escuela, Voy a citas cada mes o dos para seguimientos y laboratorios. Recientemente comencé un tratamiento intravenoso más fuerte para controlarlo. Además, mis dos pares de gemelos tienen algunas citas especializadas a las que necesitan asistir, así como mi mayor también. Tuve que cancelarlos todos, lo que también incluía mi cita para la prueba de audición, porque no tengo transporte confiable en este momento y todas las citas son fuera de la ciudad.

Necesito un SUV o al menos arreglar el mío para poder llevar a todos mis hijos conmigo a casa de mis padres, ya que no viven en la misma ciudad y normalmente tengo que pasar por su ciudad y puedo dejar a mis hijos mientras voy a mis citas y llevo a mis hijos a la de ellos.

También comenzaré la escuela en enero, lo cual es un gran paso para mí; ya que mis inseguridades se han apoderado de mí, haciéndome pensar que la gente solo me mirará por mi nariz.

Esto significa mucho para mí y para mis hijos.
