Hi everyone,

We are raising funds to support our family in Gaza. Due to GoFundMe’s policies, our friend Candice Valenzuela in the USA is listed as the beneficiary, but all donations go directly to us here in Gaza as we work to survive and rebuild our lives.

Our Story:

On December 25, 2023, everything changed for us. We fled our home in northern Nuseirat under heavy bombardment our first displacement in life. What followed was even harder:

we were forced to leave our home more than seven times, fleeing from death repeatedly, moving between Mawassi Rafah, Deir al-Balah, and temporary shelters with relatives inside Nuseirat camp, and now we returned to our home again.

Who We Are

The father – Dr. Hassan Al Qatrawi

PhD in Psychology, a Former university lecturer at Al-Aqsa University and a published novelist

His second novel, “Rawan’s Café,” was written during our displacement in a tent in Rafah - a powerful reminder that creativity can survive even in the harshest circumstances.

The mother – Munira EL Najar

English teacher with 16 years of experience, Master’s student in Curriculum & Instruction, and ranked among the Top 10 Teachers in Palestine (2022).

The Children

Ali (18): He is studying Multimedia at Alaqsa University.

Lamis (15): dreamed of becoming a Dermatologist.

Mohammed (13): brilliant and determined - our “Newton”—hopes to be a surgeon.

Aboud (5): our youngest, He is studying in KG 2.
