This fundraiser is to support Dana Al-Habil and her family during an extremely difficult time in their lives.
Here is Dana’s story in her own words:
My name is Dana, I am 17 years old, and I am writing this with a heavy heart.
I live with my family of nine, and every day feels like a struggle to survive. My father, Abdullah, is injured and needs constant treatment. My mother is deaf and also unwell, and we have no one to provide for us.
We lost our home at the beginning of the conflict. Since then, we have been forced to move again and again, never feeling safe, never knowing what tomorrow will bring. We lost everything we had.
There was a moment I will never forget… my brother Mahmoud and I were held for hours at a checkpoint and questioned. We were eventually released, but the fear has never left us. It still lives inside me every day.
Life now is extremely difficult. We struggle to find food, shelter, and basic necessities. Sometimes, it feels like the world has forgotten us.
But even in all this pain, I did not give up on my education. I kept studying, holding onto hope, and I achieved a score of 98.6%. This is my small light in the darkness. I dream of continuing my education and building a better future for myself and my sisters.
Today, I am asking you from my heart…
Please help my family:
So we can continue our education
So we can have a safe place to live
So we can afford treatment and basic needs
Even the smallest support can change our lives. Your kindness can give us hope when we feel like we have none left.
Thank you for listening to me and for standing with us.
