My name is Denise I am privileged to be the grandmother of Ahlycea Johnstone who was diagnosed with Acute Myloid Leukemia (AML) in November 2024. She has endured so much with treatment and setbacks. In spring 2025 she had a bone marrow transplant, which was mostly successful, but they were unable to irradicate her FLT3 gene that causes AML, so her treatments continued throughout the year. they thought they had irradicated the FLT3 gene out of her body, but recently we found it has resurfaced and she will need to begin treatment again next week. She has been unable to work and is need of continued financial assistance. We did have a fundraiser for her in 2025, and we are thankful for the support and donations, but those funds have run out. At 20 years old she should be living her best life and planning her future, but she was handed this and she lives with days of debilitating tiredness and other symptoms. She still remains sweet and hopeful. We would appreciate any assistance to help her.
