I present myself, humbled yet honored for the opportunity to be embraced by the community that I continue to open-heartedly extend myself in. I am now 6 months unemployed , actively job searching, and reaching a point of possible conclusion of unemployment benefits at the end of next month; funds that have just barely covered my rent . (Shout out to family still holding me down that I am able to eat, and thank you to all the bill collectors for the involuntary patience that they must practice until I get back on my feet- credit score is SHOT). Last month, my car of 10 years died on me and I have now been declined for Medi-cal twice ( I will keep trying). It has been some time since my last med refill which has intensified my mental health journey, yet I carry on (Beyonce- You won't break my soul!) . I continue to find hope and joy in showing love and support for others through volunteering and skills-based donations and I am still pursuing my passion for writing and Mental Health Awareness ( I recently wrote a children's book that I am presently seeking illustration and publication for and I am also applying to grad school, shout out to FASFA) . I am performing odd jobs whenever I can and getting familiar with public transportation; any more help that could be extended through this tough season would really be a balm on this fragile heart of mine. This extra support will help keep a roof over my head, food in my belly and also contribute towards me getting mobile again( which will also help expand my job search range again).
