Help, hope and prayers needed for our baby Gio
Donation protected
Hi, my name is John Rossetti and I'm fundraising to help my godson and nephew, Giovanni Brink get the treatments he needs.
Gio will be turning 1 this March and hasn’t had the easiest start to his life . He was diagnosed at around 4 months of age with Hypertonia. This is when the brain & spinal cord do not communicate properly. Usually caused by an injury or illness. Some of the symptoms could cause muscle tightness, difficulty swallowing and difficulty breathing . Over the next few months we started noticing Gio’s symptoms were getting worse. After extensive testing ( including a bone marrow aspiration) and seeing multiple specialists baby Gio has now been diagnosed with Gaucher (pronounced “go-shay”) Disease type 2/3. This is a very rare metabolic disorder that causes bone pain, anemia, enlarged organs, bleeding problems and skeletal abnormalities. This news is absolutely devastating to say the least! The treatments that are necessary for his survival are not covered by insurance unfortunately. Which is why we are reaching out to ask for help in this most desperate situation.
Any money donated will be used to obtain these treatments along with travel & hotel expenses and loss of income while bringing Gio to his treatments .
Any and all donations would be so greatly appreciated in order to help Gio’s parents , Steve and Gjystine Brink , fight for their little boys life! And if you can't donate money please send your prayers to help this baby deal with this disease.
