My name is Sayra Gomez. My father, Jose Gomez, has been detained by ICE. He was detained on April first. He is now at the Georgia Stewart Detention Center. My father has been in this country since the late '90s. He has worked 2 jobs over 30 years. He has excellent credit in this country; his goal has always been to contribute to this country and not be a burden. My father is the sole provider for his household. Unfortunately, lawyer fees are very expensive, bills do not stop, and my father does not get paid unless he works. His wife is now left with no financial support. This fundraiser isn't just about money - it's about seeing a light at the end of the tunnel, a chance to move forward when things feel overwhelming. Any contribution, no matter how small, would mean so much to our family.
