Hope and Help for Corrie

If you find it in your heart to help Corrie to recover and heal stress free, please read her story below. We and her are grateful for any help and support.
Growing up there was one person for Andrew and I that has been a constant presence, even though she was working full time and often in night school trying to further her career. We both have benefited in many ways from the love of our mother and the care she showed us. She has never really had it easy, but has always made it work no matter what.
After our mother went through her emergency spinal surgery in August of 2021 she had to use all of her PTO from work and also was required to tap into short term disability due to the extent of her recovery. However, she again persisted and made it through what was a very tough time in life. Her recovery was such a blessing even if she never fully recovered physically.
As she felt a sense of normalcy and as if she turned a corner, she found out in Novemeber 2022 that her breast cancer returned and the treatment will once again be surgical. It was found that her new found breast cancer was genetic. Thus, Corrie has undergone a Double Bilateral Mastectomy with a Lumph node Biopsy on Tuesday, December 20th. With barely recovering much of her PTO and having to, once again, go onto short term disability as well as get hit with even more medical bills. Along with surgery, she will consult with her oncologist about further treatment in the coming days, months, and years.
We hope you'll keep our mother, Corrie Mochrie, in your thoughts and prayers first and foremost as she begins another difficult journey. Any support is appreciated through her journey of recovering and healing however. Thank you for your time. Meghan Greathouse
