In March 2025, Christie was diagnosed with stage 3C cervical cancer. She has been fighting hard through chemo, radiation (which was 5 days a week), and brachytherapy surgical radiation procedures. Treatment concluded in early to mid-September, at which point we were hopeful the cancer had been beaten and she was on the road to recovery.
Unfortunately, at the beginning of October, after a routine CT scan, the doctors noticed a few more areas of concern in a different area. So, on October 20th, she started back up with chemo and radiation for another 6 weeks. This second round has already been very rough on her, physically and emotionally, but she is staying strong and fighting back.
We kept waiting for the good news to come, but unfortunately, the news keeps getting worse.
On January 1st, 2026, we were told that her cancer has aggressively spread through her body and is no longer curable. This was and still is devastating to us. But we are not going to give up; we are going to keep fighting... even harder.
We are now looking into other non-Western style medicines along with trying to find out how to get her the best treatments and doctors possible. If you have any info, ideas, or have an in with someone somewhere, please let us know.
Insurance has been a nightmare, and she had to miss treatments. We are looking into Stanford Cancer Hospital and others, but please feel free to share any thoughts or insight you may have.
If you are able to donate, we greatly appreciate it, as bills are getting to be more and more and looking outside the box has higher costs. Anything helps at this point! The funds will also help Jason take time from work to be with his family. Thank you all, and please keep her in your prayers, as we need all the help and support we can get.
