HOPE and HELP for CHRIS

CARE AND HOPE FOR CHRIS Over the summer, my husband Chris was diagnosed with Stage 4 kidney disease. Recently, his Doctor wanted to check his kidney function. He was sent to have an MRI where they found a cancerous tumor in his right kidney. He is having surgery on March 6th at Stony Brook Hospital and Doctors will try to remove the tumor and keep as much of the kidney as possible. He will then have testing done every 3 months to check for any more cancerous cells and to continue checking kidney function. His doctor said Dialysis will eventually be needed. Our family is devastated by this diagnosis. With his job in the restaurant business, his insurance is limited, and we want to try to get Chris the care he needs to fight this frightening disease. This news of his illness came at a terrible financial time for our family. We have been living in the downstairs 2 rooms of my daughters home with her husband and my 3 Grandchildren. This was supposed to be a short stay that has turned into a year.  We could also use financial assistance so Chris can come home to his own apartment and to a bed of his own after his surgery. It has been one challenge after another but we stayed strong and the love we have for each other gives us strength! My husband has always been a generous, funny, well liked man to all that know him. He is a loving Father, Grandfather, Husband and Friend.
