Update 02/21/2026

I would like to thank everybody that has taken the time to read this, share it and donate. I apologize. I have not been active. My basement flooded again and I can’t even physically get down there. You have my sincere gratitude and may Allah reward you for helping me when I was not able to help myself, Inshallah Ameen

Bismillah

My name is Jenni. I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. Most of my childhood was spent in and out of foster care or residential placement. From a young age, Allah taught me what it means to survive without a safety net. I did not understand then why my life required so much strength — but I trust now that nothing He decrees is without purpose, even if I don’t understand or am struggling to comprehend.

Today, I am facing one of the greatest tests of my life.

I have been diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome (CRPS) Type 1 — a severe and progressive neurological pain disorder, often described as one of the most painful chronic conditions known. This pain is not simple discomfort. It is burning, stabbing, relentless nerve pain that makes even the smallest movement overwhelming.
It affects my mobility, my sleep, my independence, and nearly every part of daily life, I feel as if almost every shot of dignity has been ripped from me.

In addition, my foot remains broken. Because of CRPS, surgery may be delayed for up to 18 months — and I will not even know for certain whether surgery is required for another month. The uncertainty itself is heavy for someone like myself. The physiological changes to my body that I’ve had to witness are a huge sensory overload when I’m already struggling with a late diagnose, autism, and in the midst of a burn out…. However, I’ve been told my ADHD is what keeps me going and it’s not a good thing.

There are days when the pain feels bigger than the home I am confined to. Since May, aside from medical appointments and only a handful of grocery trips, I have been largely homebound.

I am navigating this trial alone. As a revert I lost a lot of my support, but alhamdulillah I have gained a few amazing people since then.

Even when I was completely non-weight-bearing, I drove myself to appointments. I would hop — sometimes crawl — to get inside. Wallahi : I am trying.

I do not have the financial or physical support system that many rely upon in situations like this. I don’t have an emergency contact anymore.

Every appointment, every copay, every mile driven rests on my shoulders. And still, I continue, Alhamdulillah I do have insurance however a lot of specialists aren’t covered and there is no FDA approved treatment for CRPS so my insurance won’t cover anything but pain medication… Inshallah these treatments will give me the opportunity to titrate off of the medication and be either pain-free and in remission or at least functional without daily medication Inshallah.

At the end of March and beginning of April, I have 10 Scrambler therapy treatments scheduled for my CRPS. Each session costs $200, totaling $2,000 for this critical phase of care. For CRPS patients, the standard protocol is a minimum of 10 sessions, for somebody like me that I already has pre-existing conditions as well as neurological disorders it could be more.

My medical copays have increased due to more frequent specialist visits and recent coverage changes so many people faced January 1 of 2026. I must also travel about an hour each way for treatment, adding transportation costs to an already overwhelming burden. Inshallah, I’ll be able to drive myself to and from the treatments, however, I won’t know until after I try. And safety is obviously very important.

For this reason, I am setting my fundraising goal at $5,000 to cover:

• 10–20 Scrambler treatments for CRPS Type 1
• Rising medical copays
• Travel expenses
• Ongoing specialist care and medications.
• Past-due medical bills that are now heading toward collections
• Necessary supplements to support my overall health and nutrient deficiencies as I try to navigate a more holistic approach to neuropathic pain

These treatments are not optional. Early and consistent therapy for CRPS can mean the difference between stabilization and progression. For me, this care represents hope — hope for preserved mobility, reduced pain, and the ability, by Allah’s permission, to maintain some quality of life I had before May. Without it, the risk of further decline is not only real but inevitable. Every single day it spreads and things get worse, I still have not given up.

I have fought my entire life to keep going. And I am still fighting — with sabr, with tawakkul, and with the belief that Allah does not burden a soul beyond what it can bear. This was very hard for me to accept that first, but upon reflection and everything I’ve been through if it was too much to bear I wouldn’t be here. I wouldn’t be in a place of asking for help to keep me going.

But even the strongest believer is not meant to carry every trial alone. The Prophet ﷺ taught us that the believers are like one body — when one part is in pain, the whole body responds.

If you are able to donate or even share this page, you are not just helping with medical expenses. You are standing beside your sister in her test, I could really use some support even if it’s not financial! You are helping preserve my health, my independence, dignity and — quite honestly — my future.

May Allah reward you for any support, any du‘a, and any kindness you extend.

Thank you for seeing me.
Thank you for standing with me.

With gratitude and trust in Allah,

Jenni
