Jeff Trafton is a firefighter paramedic, husband, and father of two beautiful children. Recently, one of his children became ill and had a fever for an extended period of time. Concerned, the Traftons took their daughter to the doctor, where they were advised to have her seen in Orlando by a specialist.
On December 2nd, an ultrasound scan revealed a substantial tumor above their daughter's right kidney. A week later, she underwent major surgery to remove the tumor, obtain a bone marrow biopsy, and place a port for future treatments. The tumor, roughly the size of a little cutie orange, was removed. Biopsies confirmed both the tumor and her bone marrow are positive for cancerous cells called Neuroblastoma. Her treatment plan consists of multiple rounds of chemotherapy, two bone marrow transplants, radiation treatments, and immunotherapy, which is expected to take approximately 1 year to complete.
As you can imagine, this fight is going to take time and resources. Please help support the Traftons in this fight and ease some of the burden they may face.
