Hi everyone, my family and I are raising funds for our dog, Mavis. Mavis is 7 years old and truly one of the sweetest dogs anyone could ever meet. She has been part of our family for years and is so much more than just a pet to us — she’s family. She loves being around everyone, carrying around her toys, relaxing with us at home, and always bringing comfort and happiness to the people around her.

A few days ago, our entire world flipped upside down when Mavis suddenly began having severe seizures and had to be rushed to the emergency vet. It was one of the scariest moments our family has ever experienced, especially because this happened completely out of nowhere. The seizures became so serious that she needed emergency medication, hospitalization, constant monitoring, and ongoing testing to try to stabilize her and figure out what caused this to happen.

Since then, Mavis has remained under intensive veterinary care. The vets have been doing everything they can to control the seizures and keep her stable, but the medical costs have added up very quickly between emergency treatment, medications, bloodwork, imaging, and hospitalization. Right now, we are doing everything possible to give her the best chance at recovery and hopefully bring her home safely.

Making this fundraiser was not easy for us because we never imagined being in a situation like this, but we would do absolutely anything for Mavis. She has been there for our family through so many important moments, and seeing her sick and struggling has been heartbreaking. We just want to help her fight through this and get the care she needs.
