Hi, our names are Robert and Jessica Thomas, and we are reaching out with heavy hearts and hopeful faith as we ask for support for our son, Silas.
Silas was born with chronic kidney disease, and from the very beginning, his life has been filled with challenges most children should never have to face. He also lives with cystic fibrosis and suffered a traumatic brain injury at birth. Despite everything, Silas continues to fight every single day with incredible strength and resilience.
Silas is not just a patient—he’s a beloved son and one of six siblings. He has five brothers and sisters who love him deeply and stand by him through every obstacle. Our family is strong together, but the reality of Silas’s condition has brought overwhelming emotional and financial strain.
Now, Silas needs a life-saving kidney transplant.
To give him the best chance at success, Silas and his mom will need to temporarily relocate to Seattle to be close to a transplant center and medical team. This means being away from home, family, and support systems for an extended period of time.
During this time, Jessica will still need to provide for both herself and Silas while staying near the hospital. Between housing, travel, daily living expenses, and the already overwhelming medical costs—including hospital stays, medications, transplant preparation, and recovery—this journey is more than we can manage alone.
We are asking for help to give Silas the chance at a healthier, fuller life. Every donation, no matter the size, will go directly toward his transplant and the costs of staying in Seattle during this critical time. If you’re unable to donate, sharing Silas’s story means just as much to us.
Thank you for your love, support, and prayers. We are holding onto hope that with help, Silas will receive the second chance he deserves.
With love and gratitude,
Robert & Jessica Thomas
