Hope and Healing for Santiago's Happy Ending

Thank you for clicking on my link and being willing to hear our story. Long story long-

I adopted both Santiago and his brother Sebastian from a farm 6 years ago. They have lived together since birth. Santiago is my whole world and my best friend. Santiago is named after the Shepherd boy in Paulo Cohelos, the Alchemist- who also went through many struggles to achieve peace. We are hoping our Santiago also finds his happy ending.

Santi is an anxious cat and due to the stress from last week's tornadoes in Bloomington- he experienced a urinary blockage. Once taken to the emergency veterinary clinic we opted to move forward with a PU surgery (Perineal Urethrostomy) to ensure his quality of life for the rest of his life. However, Santi is now facing life threatening local infections around his surgical site. If we don't act quickly the surgery that was supposed to secure his wellbeing will be the reason he may not live.

His prognosis with supportive care and antibiotics is excellent- but money is tight and there is only so much more we can do without the support of community.

I am a full-time graduate student with two part time jobs. More than anything in the world I want Santiago to be able to get his infection treated and come home like he was supposed to. Please consider helping his cause.

Should you choose to donate and feel that veterinary invoice or payment transparency is important to you do not hesitate to reach out to me.
