Ronda’s life-altering journey: Healing, Hardship, and Hope

Ronda’s life changed unexpectedly on November 28, 2025, when she was seriously injured in a UTV accident. Her leg was severely broken in multiple places, and she was transferred from Bemidji to Fargo for specialized care. Over the following weeks, she underwent multiple surgeries to stabilize the bones, repair the damage, and manage open wounds.

Despite her strength and determination, Ronda faced delayed wound healing and spent 16 long weeks unable to bear weight on her leg. Just as she was finally cleared to begin weight-bearing again, life took another difficult turn. Ronda became seriously ill and was diagnosed with a sepsis infection, requiring another emergency transfer back to Fargo to control the infection and undergo yet another surgery. Surgeons had to remove all hardware from her leg and perform extensive debridement. She is now facing another long period of healing, more medical care, and continued restrictions on weight-bearing. Her care team is taking extra precautions to keep infections down, or there is a possibility of amputation of the leg. Everyone is trying their best to not go down that road.

This journey has been incredibly hard on her — physically, emotionally, mentally, and financially.

Ronda is someone who has always shown resilience, kindness, and perseverance, but the overwhelming amount of medical bills and the inability to work have created a heavy burden.
