I’m reaching out during an incredibly difficult and uncertain time for our family. My sister-in-law is currently battling serious liver disease that is now affecting her kidney function. At this moment, there are still many unknowns. We do not yet have a clear prognosis, and each day brings new challenges. For now, we are truly taking things one day at a time, holding on to hope and faith as her medical team continues to monitor and treat her condition.

As she focuses on her health, my sister has stepped away from work to be by her side, help manage medical decisions, and provide the care and support that is so desperately needed. While she is able to take FMLA to protect her job, this time off is unpaid, creating a significant financial strain on their family during an already overwhelming period.

This fundraiser is to help ease the burden of lost income, medical-related expenses, travel, and day-to-day costs so they can focus on what truly matters right now — healing, family, and support.
