Our beloved cat Sophie is more than just a pet — she’s family. She’s been a constant source of love, comfort, and joy in our home, and right now, she needs our help.

A few days ago, after trying a different flavor of cat food, Sophie became very sick. She started vomiting severely and suddenly stopped eating. We took her to the vet right away, where she was found to be dehydrated and was given fluids and antibiotics. We were hopeful she would recover quickly, but unfortunately, things have gotten more serious.

After returning to the vet because she still wasn’t eating, Sophie was once again dehydrated. Bloodwork revealed that she is now in the early stages of jaundice and has become anemic. The vet has given her more fluids and medication to stimulate her appetite, but we are in a critical waiting period. If she doesn’t start eating soon, her condition could worsen significantly.

Watching her go through this has been heartbreaking. Sophie is normally such a loving, gentle soul, and seeing her weak and not herself is incredibly hard on our family.

We are doing everything we can to help her recover, but as a single-income household, the unexpected and growing veterinary costs are becoming overwhelming. We are reaching out for help so we can continue getting Sophie the care she urgently needs.
