Hi everyone,
I’m writing this with a heavy and overwhelmed heart. Last Wednesday 3/18 Our lives changed in an instant, and we are now facing something we never could have prepared for.
My husband, Nate, went from what seemed like normal flu symptoms to being rushed into the ICU fighting for his life. Within a matter of hours, everything escalated. He has been diagnosed with bacterial meningitis and sepsis, a severe infection that has affected his brain and body.
Right now, Nate is on a ventilator, surrounded by machines, and under constant care. Seeing him like this is something no family is ever prepared for. Despite everything, he is showing small signs of responsiveness—squeezing hands, moments that give us hope—but we are still in a very critical and uncertain place.
Nate is not just my husband—he is my best friend, my partner, and an incredible father. He is the kind of person who shows up for others, who loves deeply, and who is the center of our family. Watching him fight this battle is heartbreaking beyond words.
Our focus right now is being by his side, talking to him, holding his hand, and hoping for each small step forward. We are taking things moment by moment.
At the same time, this has brought an unexpected financial burden— Nate was the main provider for our family . With home expenses, medical expenses, time away from work, and the unknown road ahead as he fights to recover .
If you are able, we are asking for your help. Any donation, no matter the size, means more than we can express. If you can’t donate, sharing this or keeping Nate in your thoughts and prayers truly means everything to us.
We are holding onto hope with everything we have.
Thank you for standing with us during the most difficult time of our lives.
With love
,Chantel
