This past November was a doozy for my family. My mom, Jenny, was diagnosed with end-stage liver disease. Since then, everything has revolved around appointments, hospital stays, tests, and waiting.
As of Friday January 2nd, she is officially on the liver transplant list. This is both hopeful but heartbreaking news as it shows just how sick she is.
While we are incredibly grateful that a transplant is possible, the road ahead is long and overwhelming. A liver transplant is not just one surgery. Should she receive this blessing, it will include extended hospital stays, recovery time, frequent follow-up appointments, medications, and the need to stay close to the transplant hospital in temporary housing.
Between accommodations, food, travel, and medical expenses, the costs are adding up quickly. Insurance helps, but it only covers so much.
My parents are not the kind of people to ask for help. I know we cannot walk this journey alone, so I’ve decided to create this fundraiser. Any support, whether financial, a meal, a prayer, or simply sharing this page means more than we can express.
If you’re unable to donate, please know that your prayers, encouragement, and sharing this fundraiser are just as appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for standing with our family during this incredibly difficult season. We are holding onto hope, faith, and gratitude every step of the way.
