My family and I are facing a difficult time right now. Mike has recently been diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), a type of blood cancer. We are still processing everything and figuring out the next steps, but we're holding onto hope. We will spend the next month 5 hours away from home at the OHSU Knight Cancer Center where he will be undergoing treatment, while our daughter takes care of our pets at home.
