We, the family and close loved ones of Maggie Burke, are lifting spirits at Virginia Mason in Seattle, where this courageous mom is battling back after a stroke. Yesterday's procedure successfully removed the clot and restored blood flow, and we're holding onto hope that she'll regain full strength on her left side, as well as her speech. We're counting on your prayers for her complete recovery! A heartfelt thank you to Keith's dedicated IT team at KVH for their generous donations to help towards our hotel expenses. Maggie is a resilient warrior, and we trust that with faith and support, she'll overcome this challenge and emerge stronger than ever. However, at this time, the doctors have informed us that her brain is swelling and she requires surgery to reduce the pressure.

She has been intubated and she should be going to surgery in about an hour. This is going to be a very long road for her. We are requesting prayers first, but if you feel moved to donate to our hotel expenses while we attend her here in Seattle, as well as the inevitable costs of caring for her after she has been discharged, we will be forever grateful. Maggie is biologically mom to one, but she is emotionally and spiritually mom to everyone she has ever met. Please help us support her in her time of need.

Maggie is out of surgery. They were able to decrease pressure on her brain by removing some of her skull and she also has 2 drains in place. The surgeon said it went well. We are going to let her rest tonight and catch up on our sleep and go back to her in the am. Please keep
