Dear Friends and Supporters,

I am reaching out to respectfully request your support on behalf of my sister and her oldest son, who have been experiencing ongoing health complications since contracting COVID in August 2025. Despite numerous medical consultations and evaluations, they have received limited guidance, and their condition has now been classified as “long COVID.”

Over the past five months, my sister—particularly—has endured persistent inflammation and a range of symptoms. She has consulted multiple specialists but has unfortunately been unable to find effective treatment or meaningful answers. Recently, she began care with a functional medicine physician who has experience treating patients with long COVID and addressing complex inflammatory conditions.

She attended her initial appointment this week. Regrettably, functional medicine services, including the specialized laboratory testing required to identify underlying causes, are not covered by insurance. The physician has recommended three diagnostic test kits as a starting point in order to better understand the root of her ongoing health challenges.

At this time, the financial burden of these tests is beyond my sister’s means. It is our sincere hope that through this testing, she may gain clarity regarding her condition and begin a targeted path toward recovery.

I have witnessed firsthand the physical and emotional toll this illness has taken on her and on our entire family. Any contribution, regardless of the amount, would be deeply appreciated and would help move her closer to obtaining the necessary testing and care.

Additionally, both my sister and her son have enrolled in a long COVID research study and are scheduled to begin participation next month. We remain hopeful that continued research will provide greater understanding and expanded treatment options for individuals living with long COVID.
