As many of you may (or may not) know, Kristen is a devoted and loving mother to 3 children who has been battling a severe intra-abdominal, post-operational infection for months. This journey started in April 2025, when they had to do emergency surgery to clear out the infection that was thought to arise from a stitch that never dissolved from a previous surgery. This left her with a wound vac, with hopes that the wound closing from the inside out would be the way to prevent the infection from recurring. It took until August 2025 to completely close. Everything seemed to be fine until October 2025 when the flare ups began. Each time with painful blistering and burns to her skin. Countless hospital visits have since occurred throughout October-December, and the infection still seems to come back no matter what the doctors have thrown at it. Each hospital visit comes with its own bill, and they have been adding up quickly. Additionally, the doctors want to try 3 Dalbavancin infusions, as a last-ditch effort to clear the infection. These infusions are costly, and at the start of the new year, insurance will not cover much of them. If you would like to help out the family during this difficult time, any little bit helps. If you don’t have anything extra, a simple share to spread the word is just as helpful, as well as a prayer that these infusions will work and keep the infection away for good!
