For the past few years, my dad, Ken, has been courageously fighting cancer. This isn’t his first time facing this battle, but it has been one of the toughest seasons of his life. Through every appointment, every treatment, and every setback, he has shown the same quiet strength and determination that he’s carried his entire life.
For more than 30 years, Ken has owned and operated his irrigation and sitework business. He has spent decades working long hours, building not just projects, but relationships in our community. He’s the kind of man who shows up when someone needs help — whether it’s fixing something, offering advice, or lending a hand without ever expecting anything in return.
As many of you know, he’s not someone who asks for help. In fact, he’s usually the one giving it. But now, after 5 years, our family is stepping in to ask on his behalf.
Treatment options here in the US have become increasingly limited and financially overwhelming. We are seeking more extensive treatment outside of the United States, that offers additional approaches and renewed hope in his fight. The cost of treatment, travel, lodging, and continued medical care is more than we can manage alone.
We are raising funds to help cover:
• Specialized cancer treatment
• Travel expenses
• Lodging during treatment
• Ongoing medical costs
Any donation, no matter the amount, will make a meaningful difference. And if you’re not able to give, sharing this page and keeping Ken in your thoughts and prayers means more than we can express.
Our family is deeply grateful for the love and support during this journey. Thank you for helping us give my dad every possible chance to keep fighting.
With love and gratitude,
Kira Waterbury
