A Message of Hope and Support for Kelly

In November, Kelly’s life changed in an instant when she discovered a lump in her right breast. After a series of tests and biopsies, she received the difficult news on December 3rd: she was diagnosed with Stage II Invasive Ductal Carcinoma and Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS) breast cancer. Today, another biopsy was performed to determine if the cancer has spread to her lymph nodes, and the results are expected next week.

Since her diagnosis, Kelly has faced each day with remarkable courage and determination. Guided by her oncologist, she is preparing to begin an intensive treatment plan. Starting in January, she will undergo weekly chemotherapy for twelve weeks, followed by a short break, and then another round of chemo every third week for twelve more weeks. Once these treatments are complete, she will undergo a double mastectomy, likely in the summer of 2026.

The road ahead is daunting, not only physically and emotionally, but also financially. The cost of treatment is a heavy burden for Kelly and her family. Yet, through all the uncertainty, what remains constant is her hope for healing and her unwavering spirit.
