I never thought I would have to write something like this.
My son Jayden is our soccer star. As some of you may know, Jayden is a passionate soccer player who has been fighting kidney failure since birth. What started as something we hoped would get better has slowly become the center of our world. Our days have changed from early mornings at soccer games, cheering from the sidelines and celebrating goals, to long hours in waiting rooms, doctor visits, and treatments. Life looks very different now, but those are the moments we hold onto the most.
He used to run freely, full of energy, with dreams as big as the field he played on. Now, his strength shows in quieter moments—finding a smile on hard days or having just enough energy to play for a few minutes. Through it all, his bravery humbles me in ways words can’t fully express.
Unfortunately, his condition has progressed to the point where a transplant is now necessary. After going through extensive testing, I’ve been blessed to learn that I am a match and a candidate to be Jayden’s kidney donor to give him the chance to return to the life he loves.
While we are grateful for this opportunity, it means that both Jayden and I will undergo major surgery simultaneously.
During our recovery, I will be unable to work, and our family will face significant medical and living expenses. The financial burden of his ongoing treatments has already been overwhelming, and this next chapter will bring additional challenges.
We are holding onto hope for Jayden’s healing and for the day he can get back onto the soccer field. If you are able to support us during this time, whether through thoughts, prayers, or financial assistance, it would mean the world to our family.
Thank you for keeping Jayden in your thoughts and prayers.
