My name is Jen and I’m writing this GoFundMe on behalf of my dear friends the Rossi family. On February 1st, Doreen suffered a sudden and life-changing stroke. I’ve known this family for years, and they’ve always been the kind of people who help everyone around them without ever asking for anything in return. Now they’re facing something no family is ever prepared for.

Since that day, Doreen has been fighting with incredible strength. There have been small but meaningful steps forward — moments of responsiveness, tiny wins that bring so much hope. Her family has been by her side every single day, doing everything in their power to support and care for her.

But recovery from a stroke is long, difficult, and expensive. Medical bills, therapy, transportation to appointments, and potential home adjustments are already piling up. This family is doing everything they can, but they need help — emotionally, spiritually, and financially. Currently Doreen is still in the ICU after having this hemorrhagic stroke with the team trying to stabilize her blood pressure. The next step is Doreen will be getting a peg tube and tracheostomy.
