My beautiful sister, Dina Camacho, is in need of a lung transplant after a long and exhausting battle with Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) and Scleroderma. While our family holds tightly to hope for this life-saving transplant, our hearts are heavy as we navigate the uncertainty ahead.

In preparation for the transplant, Ricky and the children are facing an uncertain future. The costs of Dina’s medical care and extended fight against ILD and Scleroderma have left the family out of funds. This procedure alone costs around $2 million. With insurance, my sister and her family are still left to pay 20% out of pocket. While insurance covers part of the treatment, there are many essential expenses that aren’t covered.

Our family has faced not only emotional challenges but also significant financial strain as they are doing everything possible to support Dina and provide for her care. Between mounting medical expenses, travel for treatment, and daily living costs, the burden has become overwhelming.
