Anyone who knows our mom, Christy, knows that she is selfless, resilient, and hardworking. She’s a light to others and is always there for anyone who needs her. Whether it was working multiple jobs to support us kids or being the most loving and devoted grandma to her three grandchildren, she has always put others first—without hesitation, and without complaint.

Days before Christmas we received the devastating news that my mom was diagnosed with breast cancer. At just 50 years old, this news was a shock to our family. Although her doctors believe the cancer is in its early stages, it’s an aggressive form (Triple Positive), and she needs to begin treatment as soon as possible.

Her first treatment is January 22nd and we’re asking for your support. She has loved and served so many people over the years and we are hopeful that others will come to her aid at this difficult time. The medical bills have already started to come in, and we know they will continue to mount in the weeks and months ahead. Our mom will need to take time off work for surgery, chemotherapy, and recovery. As a result, her income will be significantly impacted and she will not be able to overcome this alone.

While we can’t take away the emotional toll this diagnosis has placed on her, we can help ease the financial burden. Your donation—whether big or small—will go directly toward helping my mom cover her medical expenses, lost wages, and other related costs during her treatment.
