My name is Chyler Emery and I am raising money for a girl named Chelsy. Chelsy is a 13-year-old girl who has scoliosis and cystic fibrosis. She also struggles with a lack of growth hormones, for which she has to take daily shots.

Her mom is a single mother of 3 with her own health issues, trying her best to do what any mother does, and that is taking the best care of her kids and getting them what they need.

With her recent discovery of scoliosis, Chelsy now has to wear a brace to ensure the curve in her spine will not get worse. The hope for the brace is to avoid scoliosis surgery. These braces are sadly not always covered by insurance and cost anywhere from $5K-$6K. As a single mom, and already tending to Chelsy's other health issues, this amount is astronomical. However, without it, Chelsy's curve will likely worsen and lead to surgery, which is an even far bigger expense. More importantly, surgery would take a huge mental toll on Chelsy, who is already dealing with her other health issues.

I am creating this GoFundMe to help raise money to give directly to the clinic treating Chelsy and constructing her brace to help offset the cost. That clinic is Scoliosis Today run by Orthotist, Walter Ramos. Walter is who I work with for my own scoliosis treatment. He is the best and his brace is Chelsy's best bet at treating her scoliosis curve to ensure it doesn't get worse.
