Hello everyone! We are here today because our son, Chase, had some health issues last week that caused us to spend the last few days, and likely it will be even more, at the Children's Hospital. We are currently on indefinite stay and will need some help with bills and care costs.

Right now, we aren't fully sure what is happening to him. We brought him in due to some full body swelling that was different from his normal skin or seizure issues. One of his seizure meds has some side effects that could affect the kindneys/liver and we were worried that might be happening.

As it stands, we don't know the cause of everything yet. When we brought him in they had to do a transfusion becuase his platelets and white blood cell counts were low. They have been doing labs every day since Friday, there was some bone marrow toxicity so we may also need to look at possible blood or autoimmune issues. It's really a waiting game.

We are staying in the hospital with him every night, sometimes one of us is going home for a bit of rest for a night. Living at the hospital is difficult and costly, so a lot of our Christmas money has gone to just surviving here and gas money getting back and forth from the hospital to home as needed. We are looking for a little help as we miss work hours and continue to be a part of his round the clock care.
