Henry’s Story

Our sweet son, Henry Wilder Smith, was born on January 28, 2026, and from the moment he entered this world, he showed us just how strong he is.

Henry was born with a congenital heart defect called Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS), a rare and serious condition where the left side of the heart does not develop properly. This diagnosis has turned our world upside down, but it has also shown us the depth of love, resilience, and hope we didn’t know we had.

Since his birth, Henry has been undergoing extensive testing and evaluations as doctors work to determine the best possible path forward to help him thrive. We are currently staying at Primary Children’s Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he is receiving specialized cardiac care. While we are incredibly grateful for the medical team caring for him, this journey has already required extended time away from home.

We live in Idaho, and the ongoing travel, lodging, and future medical expenses are quickly adding up. As Henry continues to fight and we prepare for the road ahead, we are asking for support to help ease the financial burden so we can focus fully on being by his side.
