The Smith family has experienced more heartbreak, faith, and strength in the past year than most families ever should.

After the tragic loss of their sweet baby boy Toxey, Chelsey and John found out they were expecting their rainbow baby. This pregnancy brought hope, healing, and the promise of new life during an incredibly difficult time.

Recently, their beautiful daughter, Henley Faith Smith, arrived slightly earlier than expected. Because of her early arrival and some unexpected complications, Henley is now in the NICU receiving the specialized care she needs to grow stronger every day. While Henley is already showing how strong and brave she is, her journey will require time, patience, and lots of support.

During this time, Chelsey and John are spending as much time as possible at the hospital with their baby girl while also caring for their eldest daughter, Chaney Kate, continuing to process the grief of the past year, and navigating the work/life balance to make ends meet. With an extended NICU stay ahead, the financial strain from medical bills, time away from work, travel to and from the hospital, hotel/airbnb stays, meals, and daily expenses are quickly adding up.

This fundraiser has been created to help lift some of that burden so the Smith family can focus on what matters most right now: loving on their daughters and supporting Henley as she grows stronger each day.
