Life has thrown me yet another curveball after kicking breast cancer's butt in 2016-17.

Today, I find myself once again in the ring vs. cancer. This time it is Glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. It is completely unrelated to the preciosa breast cancer. Fun huh?! - 47 yrs young and I have developed 2 unrelated types of cancer. I have hope and faith in the power of healing, and I feel strong and ready for a good fight against this new challenge.

After a successful surgery in October to remove the tumor from my right frontal lobe, I will now continue with the standard treatment (radiation and chemotherapy-here we go again!) This time, the fight’s focus is to to stave off recurrence. To do that I am exploring Integrative oncology treatments along side the standard treatments including a promising and personalized peptide vaccine from the CeGat institute in Germany, as well as other therapies to support my immune system and overall well-being. These approaches offer real hope for extending both the quality and length of my life — but they come with high costs that are not covered by insurance.
