Words no parent should ever hear, is your child has cancer. That’s just what we were told on July 3rd, 2024, when our daughter Addy was diagnosed with High Risk Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. She went through more in the 7 months of treatment and 115 days in the hospital, than anyone could have imagined. Finally in March of 2025, she was in remission thanks to a new immunotherapy called CarT. CarT is a process that takes out some of a persons t-cells, and genetically modifies them to search and destroy all b-cells, which were the cells creating the cancer. Since then she’s been doing amazing!! She’s walking now, back at school and thriving!! Until a phone call that we received on 3/11, stating that her latest test came back positive for leukemia cells and she will have to have a bone marrow transplant. We are heartbroken, devastated and terrified for what’s to come. This isn’t like when she was diagnosed. She’s not sick!! It’s such a hard thing to accept.
We are looking at lengthy hospital stays and going back down to one income. A donation of any amount is helpful, but prayers are truly needed.
