On August 15, 2026, our daughter was struck by a vehicle while she was walking near our home in Geismar, Louisiana. The driver stopped briefly, but then fled the scene, leaving our daughter seriously injured in the roadway.
She suffered life-threatening injuries and spent time in the ICU fighting to survive. Thankfully, she has now been moved out of the ICU and has begun the long and painful process of recovery. She is still dealing with significant pain, and we are waiting for additional medical results to determine the full extent of her injuries and whether there may be any long-term effects.
While we are incredibly grateful that she is alive and making progress, the road ahead is going to be long.
We are raising money to help our family manage the financial burden that comes with this unexpected tragedy. The funds will help with medical expenses, rehabilitation and recovery, medications, transportation, time away from work to care for her, household expenses, and other costs that arise as she continues healing.
At the same time, law enforcement is actively investigating the hit-and-run. Investigators have located the vehicle believed to be involved, and we are hopeful that the person responsible will be identified and held accountable. We are allowing law enforcement to do their job and are doing everything we can to support the investigation.
Right now, our family's priority is simple: help our daughter heal, get her home, and give her the support she needs to rebuild her life.
If you are able to donate, every amount—no matter how small—will help our family through this incredibly difficult time. If you cannot donate, sharing this fundraiser, praying for our daughter, or simply keeping her in your thoughts means more to us than we can put into words.
Thank you to everyone who has supported our family, prayed for our daughter, shared information, and stood beside us through this. We are incredibly grateful.
Please continue to pray for our daughter as she begins this long road to recovery. ❤️
