Hi everyone my name is Tia. If you know me personally you know that my dog Luna is the center of my world. I picked her up in June of 2015 and we both headed for pittsburgh to start our lives together. She’s been one of the only things that has helped me push through hardships and dark times.

starting in 2023 Luna has had a rough go at things, contracting giardia and had persistent GI issues and bloodwork showing elevated liver enzymes and anemia. Since then she has been seeing the internal medicine team at bluepearl north, she’s undergone extensive bloodwork every 8 weeks, a liver aspiration, and we had planned to do a bone marrow biopsy to try to pinpoint what exactly is wrong with her. Throughout all of this she was still her sassy, treat hungry, normal self.

on 1/11/2026 Luna completely quit eating and spiked a temperature of 105, I rushed her to bluepearl where she has been hospitalized since. With a fever waxing and weening, no appetite, and low white blood cell count the doctors decided a bone marrow biopsy was needed on 1/12/2026. While the biopsy showed no signed of cancer and her body is still creating bone marrow we are now at a total loss of what is happening.

1/13/2025 Luna still has a fever and recovering very slowly from her procedure however she has given mama a few nose kisses, wagged her tail, and has taken a small amount of food. We still have hope that she can recover and come home.

As of this morning my total is $9000 and with her having to stay hospitalized it’s inevitable it will climb. As much as I hate asking for help, I am at a desperate point where I need it. If you have anything to give to help my baby girl it will be appreciated more than words could say.
