I am organizing this GoFundMe as the parent of one of Aedan’s Ocean Bay Volleyball Club teammates.
Aedan is a driven, competitive volleyball player who gives everything he has—to his team, his sport, and those around him. Right now, however, he is facing the toughest match of his life.
Since Christmas Eve, Aedan has been in intensive care receiving treatment for a serious bacterial infection affecting his brain, sinuses, and orbital socket. As part of his treatment, Aedan has already undergone multiple brain surgeries, and doctors have shared that additional surgeries may be necessary in the near future as they continue to manage his condition.
Aedan remains under the care of a specialized medical team. While he is making baby steps in the right direction, his recovery will be complex and prolonged. Doctors anticipate that his journey will include ongoing medical care, intensive therapies, and educational supports for months—and possibly years—to come.
As his family remains focused on being by Aedan’s side and supporting his healing, the financial impact of this level of care continues to grow.
All funds raised through this campaign will be used exclusively for Aedan’s medical, therapy, and education-related expenses, including:
• Hospitalization, surgeries, and medical bills
• Physical, occupational, speech, and other rehabilitative therapies
• Medications, medical supplies, and specialized or adaptive equipment
• Educational supports, tutoring, or services related to his recovery
• Transportation and other care-related costs
Our volleyball community—and all those who know and care about Aedan—are coming together to support him and his family during this incredibly difficult time. Every donation, message, and share helps ease the burden and allow his family to focus on what matters most: Aedan’s health, recovery, and future.
Thank you for standing with Aedan, his family, and the OBV community as we stay #AedanStrong for #25!
With gratitude,
