In Pakistan, children with special needs face not only a lack of educational opportunities but also deep-rooted societal stigma. Many families struggle to understand their child’s diagnosis due to a lack of awareness and support. In low-income households, these children are often overlooked as parents prioritize their other children who are seen as more capable of securing the family’s future.

Our charity was founded to change this reality. We have been working to support families by providing guidance on their children’s conditions, breaking the stigma around special needs, and offering aid such as new clothes for children on Eid to ensure they feel valued and included.

Our Vision:

We aim to build a specialized school where children with special needs can access quality education with accommodations tailored to their learning needs. This school will provide a safe and inclusive environment to help them thrive.

To support families, we will work with a Special Educational Needs Officer to help parents understand diagnoses and access resources. We will also conduct workshops to educate families and raise awareness about special needs. From an Islamic perspective, we will emphasize that every child is a blessing and that supporting them is an act of compassion and faith.

Why This School Is Needed:

Mainstream schools in Pakistan lack the resources and trained staff to accommodate children with disabilities, leaving many without an education. By building this school, we will provide:

- Specialized teachers trained to meet diverse learning needs

- Inclusive classrooms with essential learning aids

- Guidance and workshops to support families

- A nurturing environment that promotes respect and acceptance

The Islamic Perspective:

The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) taught us the importance of caring for the vulnerable. He said:

“Help the weak, for surely you are given provision and help only because of the weak among you.” (Abu Dawood)

Giving charity and supporting those in need is a powerful form of Sadaqah Jariyah (ongoing charity), bringing continuous rewards even after one’s lifetime.
