Hi, my name is Garfield Reeves and I am raising money to support family and friends gravely impacted by Melissa. I was born and raised in Portland Jamaica, and moved to England years ago. It is heartbreaking to witness what is happening in my home country and i am willing to do everything in my power to help support those in this devastating situation.

Hurricane Melissa has left a devastating impact on Jamaica — destroying homes, flooding communities, and leaving many families without food, shelter, or basic necessities. I’m raising funds to support family, friends, and local communities who have been gravely affected by this disaster.

Many have lost everything — their homes, belongings, and sources of income. The recovery process will take time, and every bit of help makes a real difference.

I know how it feels to lose everything you have owned as i have experienced a storm growing up in Jamaica- where a river washed away everything me and my family worked hard for. Meaning, this hurricane really hits home for me and i want to do everything to help my family and friends suffering this loss as well.

All donations will go directly toward helping those in urgent need by providing: emergency supplies like food, clothing and clean water, essential care such as medical aid and hygiene products, and financial assistance to my family and friends who have lost income and livelihoods.

Jamaica is home to me and to people I love deeply — my family, friends, and community. Seeing the devastation Hurricane Melissa has caused is heartbreaking, and I want to do everything I can to help them recover and rebuild.
