My name is Mikayla Pabai, co-founder of Valor Volleyball Club. I had the privilege of working alongside Coach Ty Paulichuk this past season, and it is with a heavy heart that we share his story.

Earlier this month, Ty passed away unexpectedly, following challenges with his mental health.

Ty was the Head Coach of our Valor Forge 16U Men’s team, alongside his twin brother Harrison and close friends Ben and Doug. From the moment he joined our club, it was clear he was special. His values and vision for developing athletes and building connected teams aligned perfectly with everything we strive to create at Valor.

Ty was a passionate and talented coach, and an incredible human being.

He led with authenticity, care, and purpose. He believed deeply in his athletes, not just as volleyball players, but as people, and he took pride in the growth he saw in them. He touched the lives of many in the volleyball community, and he will never be forgotten. We are committed to honoring Ty’s legacy this season and in the seasons to come.

Ty’s family wants him to be remembered as the authentic and dedicated person he was. It's also important to them that his story helps bring awareness to mental health and the importance of supporting one another.

We are starting this fundraiser to support Ty’s family during this incredibly difficult time. Any contribution, no matter the size, will go directly toward celebrating his life.
