In October 2025, Thuy was diagnosed with Stage 4 colon cancer that had already metastasized to her ovaries and lungs. From that moment on, she fought with everything she had. She underwent 6 rounds of chemo as well as a very short stint on a trial, countless hospital admissions and difficult days. Despite treatment, the cancer has continued to spread to other organs. Her oncology care team has now told her that they feel given how advanced the cancer is, there is nothing more they can do.

Facing this reality is something no family is ever prepared for.

She leaves behind her loving fiancé, Newey, and her devoted family, all of whom are doing everything possible to surround her with comfort, support, making memories and helping her fulfill her final wishes during these final weeks.
