Honouring Samina Mateen Zubairi (Sadaqah Jariyah)

Salaam. As a gesture of honouring Samina Mateen Zubairi and of Sadaqah Jariyah, we Inshallah hope to have a water well built in her name through Muslim hands.

Samina was a sweet, kind, & generous person. Anyone that had the privilege of meeting her can agree. She brought so much love and happiness to all our lives. On September 8, 2022 she passed away in peace and surrounded by her loved ones. Allah (saw) gave her the reward of a shaheed.

‘The Messenger of Allah (saw) was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “[Providing] water”’. [Abu Dawud]

Access to clean water can transform the lives of entire communities. The gift of a Dig-a-Well can serve up to 200 people, providing access to clean water for drinking, washing and cooking, as well as keeping livestock hydrated. On average, these wells serve around 35 families.

Note: Each well costs $1,200 and can take up to 9-12 months to complete as in some locations they can only be constructed during certain times of year. You will receive a personalized feedback report with photos of the well.
