In Loving Memory of Maria Brown ❤️

Hi, my name is Jordan Blair. I am one of nine children and the eldest daughter of Maria Brown.

On the 29th of October 2026, our beautiful mum tragically lost her life as a result of domestic violence. Our family has been left heartbroken, and we are still trying to come to terms with the devastating reality that she is no longer with us.

Mum was a beautiful person with the most amazing smile and an infectious laugh. She was full of life, had the greatest sense of humour and was, without a doubt, a die-hard Sydney Roosters supporter! She brought so much love, laughter and happiness into the lives of those around her, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

No one deserves to have their life taken from them in the way our mum did. She deserved so much more, and above all, she deserves a beautiful farewell surrounded by the love of her family and friends.

We have created this fundraiser to assist with covering the costs of Mum’s funeral to give her the loving send-off she deserves, as well as to assist with her dependent son.

Unfortunately, Mum did not have funeral insurance or a funeral fund in place, leaving our family to navigate these unexpected expenses during an already incredibly difficult time.

Any contributions will also go towards supporting Mum’s 15-year-old son, helping to provide him with some stability and support as he faces the heartbreaking loss of his mum. Our hope is to ease some of the financial pressure on our family so we can focus on grieving, supporting one another and honouring Mum’s memory.
