Honouring Ken Anderson

Donation protected
On August 4th we lost an amazing man. Ken was a beautiful human. He lived life to the fullest. He figured out that delicate balance that most of us strive to practice. He chased his dreams in the mountains. He knew how to relax in his down time. If something sparked his interest he was excellent at taking it upon himself to learn all about it. He was a valued friend to many. His enthusiasm was contagious, and his company was so easy and natural to keep. He called Squamish home for nearly a decade, during which time he engaged and impacted our community enormously.

We are asking for support to help host a community gathering and celebration of his life. This will be held on September 21st in the Squamish downtown Pavilion Park. Please join us in an evening of sharing and honouring all the joy that Ken brought into our world.

We are asking for support to help sustain Ken’s home – his boat the Dawn Star. We would like to keep it moored in Squamish as a home that his partner can hold onto during this time of deep loss.

We are also requesting photo submissions of any captured moments that you treasure and we can include in a slideshow. Photos can be emailed to [email redacted]. If you would like to share anything at the event, such as a story, a fond memory, a song, a poem etc please let us know and we will create space for it.

Thank you for taking the time to consider helping us with these initiatives.
