Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Supporters,

With shattered hearts, we share the devastating news of the sudden passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Florence Oyewusi.

She had just arrived from Nigeria, full of joy and anticipation, excited to hold her newborn grandchild for the very first time and to celebrate her daughter-in-law’s graduation. It was meant to be a time of love, laughter, and togetherness. Instead, we are now grappling with an unimaginable loss.

Florence passed away after a brief but difficult illness that lasted few months. She fought bravely, holding on with the hope of brighter days ahead, and her strength through it all was a reflection of the love and devotion she had for her family.

Our world has been turned upside down. Amidst our deep grief, we are faced with the painful and unexpected responsibility of preparing for her final journey home. The legal processes, travel logistics, and funeral arrangements have placed an overwhelming financial burden on our family, one we never could have prepared for.

Today, we come to you with open hearts and humble hands.

How You Can Support:
Donate: Every single contribution, no matter how small, will bring us closer to laying Florence to rest with the dignity and grace she deserves.

Pray: Your prayers and emotional support mean more than words can express.

For verification and peace of mind, Florence’s body is currently being held at Calderdale Royal Hospital in Halifax (Contact: 01422 357171).

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your compassion, for standing with us, and for helping us honor a remarkable woman whose love touched so many. Your kindness lights a path through our darkness.

With heartfelt gratitude,
Oyekunle Oyewusi
(Son of Florence Oyewusi)
