A few weeks ago, our community lost someone truly special. Dan was our brother, our friend, and a cornerstone of our recovery family. He tragically lost his life after battling struggles beyond our control and understanding.
We want to focus on how Dan lived, not how he died. Since joining us in August 2020, he became a steady, compassionate presence. Someone you could always turn to for guidance, honesty, or simply a hug. He gave so much of himself to others, sponsoring countless men, being of service wherever he could, and showing up week after week to carry the message.
The highlight of his week was coming to Ipswich on a Thursday, where he found unity and connection with people who loved him deeply. Outside of recovery, he was devoted to his family and friends, who meant everything to him.
We are a group of friends from Dan’s recovery community coming together to support his family during this incredibly difficult time. At the moment, we are still speaking with the family and don’t yet know all of their needs. Funds raised will go directly to them and may be used for funeral costs, immediate support, or any needs they identify in the coming weeks. We will share updates as we can.
Dan’s absence leaves a space that can never be filled. If you’re able to donate, thank you. If not, sharing this fundraiser means just as much.
Forever our brother, we will meet again one day.
